Terms of Service

1. What RELIST is
RELIST is a marketplace where members in Bangladesh list, buy and sell used goods. RELIST is not the seller of any item. Each sale is an agreement between the buyer and the seller; RELIST provides the listing tools, messaging, verification signals and optional escrow payments described below.
2. Your account
- Give accurate contact details and keep your password and one-time codes private. RELIST staff will never ask for them.
- One person per account. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
- Offers, reviews and escrow payments require a verified phone number. Payouts also require identity verification.
- You can deactivate your account or request deletion from Settings at any time.
3. Listings
- List only items you own and are allowed to sell. Describe condition honestly: the Condition Passport is your declaration, and seller-declared details are labelled that way.
- Prohibited: stolen, counterfeit, illegal, recalled or dangerous items, and anything described in the safety guidelines as not allowed.
- Photos must be of the actual item. Purchase proofs you upload stay private; buyers only see that proof was provided.
- We may hide, remove or restrict listings and accounts that break these terms. Moderation decisions are recorded and can be questioned through support.
- When offered, sellers can pay to promote a live listing for a set number of days. Promoted listings are always labelled “Promoted” and follow the same rules as other listings. A promotion is not refunded if the listing is sold, paused or edited early, or removed for breaking these terms.
- When offered, shops can register a business account with a valid trade licence. The Business badge means we checked the licence details at a point in time; it is not a guarantee of the shop’s items or service. Shops must honour the returns and warranty policies they publish.
4. What verification means
Badges show that a phone number, email address or identity check was completed at a point in time. They are not a guarantee of a member’s honesty or of an item’s condition. Trust scores summarise verification and transaction history and are explained on the trust page.
5. Meeting in person
For in-person sales, meet in a public place, inspect the item before paying, and use the confirmation code shown in the transaction to record the handover. Never share OTPs, PINs or passwords in chat.
6. Escrow payments
- Buyers may pay through RELIST escrow by card (processed by Stripe) or mobile wallet (bKash). Escrow is optional; cash handovers remain available.
- Escrow payments range from ৳500 to ৳5,000,000. The amount charged is always the accepted offer price.
- Funds are held until the buyer confirms receipt. If the buyer neither confirms nor opens a dispute within 14 days of payment, funds are released to the seller automatically. When the item is delivered by a courier booked through RELIST, that window ends 3 days after the courier reports delivery, if that is sooner.
- Buyers pay no RELIST fees. Sellers pay a platform fee of 2% for card payments and 1% for wallet payments, plus 15% VAT on that fee, deducted from the payout.
- Released funds are paid weekly (Mondays) once at least ৳1,000 is available, to a verified payout account in the seller’s name. Payouts above ৳1,00,000 in 30 days go to a bank account.
- Refunds return to the original payment method and usually arrive within 2–3 business days.
7. Disputes
A buyer who paid through escrow can open a dispute within 14 days, with evidence. The seller has 2 days to respond. A RELIST reviewer then decides on a full refund, a partial refund or release to the seller, and records the reason. Card chargebacks freeze the payment while they are investigated. Repeated chargebacks or refund abuse can lead to account restrictions.
8. Conduct
No harassment, scams, spam, off-platform payment pressure, fake reviews, or attempts to get around verification, escrow or moderation. Report problems from any listing, profile or conversation.
9. Liability
RELIST is responsible for operating escrow as described above. Beyond that, to the extent permitted by the laws of Bangladesh, RELIST is not a party to sales and is not liable for the quality, safety or legality of items, or for members’ conduct.
10. Changes and contact
We will post changes here and notify members of material changes before they take effect. Privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
